Sylwia is an attorney-at-law with several years of experience working in law firms, as well as, in-house counsel positions in legal departments of corporations. As a Partner at DGTL, she is responsible for the development and proper functioning of the IP Practice (“Creation” Area) which encompasses working with clients from the creative and media industries. Sylwia also supports the IT Industry and Corporate Law Practice (“Investment” Area).

Sylwia is an expert when it comes to media, press, telecommunication, copyright and IT law. In her practice so far she has negotiated complex contracts pertaining to construction projects, provided services to telecommunication entrepreneurs, cable operators, broadcasters, audiovisual producers, artists, IT suppliers and departments, as well as corporate marketing departments.

She had experience as an external adviser and in-house counsel; combining this with process experience, Sylwia has a unique perspective on the situations that her clients find themselves in. She combines the formal and legal foundations that businesses stand on along with practical knowledge of relevant conditions which allows her to find solutions that take into consideration both the legal and business needs of her clients.

At DGTL, Sylwia also supports DGTL clients when it comes to:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating copyright contracts, industrial property;
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating audiovisual production contracts;
  • Designing, reviewing and negotiating IT contracts, with emphasis on implementation, licensing, SLA, SaaS and Paas contracts;
  • Advising on matters pertaining to intellectual property of entrepreneurs;
  • Advising on matters pertaining to the protection of personal rights, including the right to image;
  • Coordination and supervision of due diligence processes in order to prepare investments;
  • Preparing documentation for, and conducting, M&A processes;
  • Advising on matters pertaining to online businesses, in particular sharing content and providing services through electronic means;
